Sinterklaasavontuur in Surhuizum: Op zoek naar het grote boek

Zaterdagmiddag 25 november rond kwart voor één arriveerde Sinterklaas met zijn Pieten in Surhuizum, bij het dorpshuis. Veel ouders stonden samen met hun kinderen vol spanning te wachten. Plotseling verschenen er twee Pieten op het dak, die met opwinding meldden dat het grote boek zoek was geraakt. Ze besloten het in het dorp te gaan zoeken.

Vrijdag 29 december 12de editie Slach om ’e Toer in Surhuizum

Op de laatste vrijdag van het jaar wordt voor de twaalfde keer vanuit Surhuizum de Surhúster kuiertocht ‘Slach om ’e Toer’ georganiseerd. Vanuit MFC De Delfeart is er weer een prachtige route uitgestippeld, die dit jaar ten zuidwesten van het dorp wordt gelopen. De deelnemers hebben de keuze uit vier afstanden van 10, 15, 20 en 30 kilometer.

Meint Beukema Classic MTB Toertocht

De vereniging Surhúster Fyts Ploechje bereidt de derde Meint Beukema Classic voor, een mountainbike tocht die gehouden zal worden in de kerstvakantie op donderdag 28 december. Na circa 12,5 jaar is het Surhúster Fyts Ploechje onlangs een officiële vereniging geworden, onder de vlag van de wielersportbond NTFU. Tijdens de oprichtingsvergadering in het eigen clubhuis schreven zich 20 leden in. De vorige twee edities werden een succes en dit stimuleerde de organisatie tot het uitzetten van een nieuwe route.
